How were humans created?

People are born because grown-up bodies make babies. Babies grow inside a mother’s belly. Long ago, people had people babies too. Families grew and grew.

A human baby starts when two tiny parts from parents join. Then the baby grows inside a safe place in one parent’s body. Humans as a group came to be over a very, very long time. Our early family changed little by little, like a child growing taller one small bit at a time.

Science says humans formed through evolution, which means living things change over many generations. Our ancient ancestors had children with small body differences. Some differences helped them live, find food, and raise children, so those traits spread. Much later, humans like us appeared. Fun fact: every person alive today belongs to the same human species, Homo sapiens, which means “wise human.”
